A full day of tennis play and exhibitions are scheduled for Saturday, August 13, 2011 at the San Jose Country Club when Jacksonville-area former touring ATP pros Brian Gottfried, Todd Martin and MaliVai Washington, along with Amer Delic, Wolfson High School tennis standout and current touring ATP pro, donate their time in a fundraising effort to “Save Jax High School Tennis.”

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Duval County magnet school students now have another option to help them get to school.

Student Transportation of America (STA) is starting a pilot program to help those kids affected by the school board's recent decision to cut transportation for the more than 5,000 students attending these schools in an effort to balance the school system's budget.

It's not a stretch for STA, since it already provides busing services for parts of Duval County.

"After several groups of parents contacted us, we immediately started developing a program where we could provide direct service for interested parents," said Chris Ingold, Operations Manager at STA's Jacksonville, Florida location.  "It is unfortunate that the district's budget issues have forced them into this situation, but we are working to provide a service that is safe, practical, and affordable."
