On Monday, March 21, more than 420 Perkins Restaurant & Bakery locations will join together for a system-wide fundraiser benefitting Give Kids The World, a nonprofit organization that provides week-long vacations to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families at a fanciful, “storybook” retreat in Central Florida. Guests dining at participating restaurants on “Perkins Pancake Day” can enjoy a free shortstack of Perkins made-from-scratch buttermilk pancakes, expertly prepared using Perkins legendary recipe created and perfected more than 50 years ago. In return, guests can consider making a donation to Give Kids The World.

SUITE is helping Jacksonville residents get over their mid-week blues and geared up for the weekend by unveiling two new weekly happy hour events.

First, SUITE is looking out for the lovely ladies of Jacksonville every Wednesday with a new happy hour designed with the fairer sex in mind. Working Women’s Wednesday is the ultimate women’s happy hour featuring half price specials on some of SUITE’s most popular drink selections from 4 – 10 p.m. every Wednesday beginning March 2.

Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia families can be a part of pancake history as IHOP serves up FREE pancakes in celebration of National Pancake Day on March 1, 2011!  From 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. at IHOP restaurants across the country, families and friends can enjoy a free short stack of IHOP’s famous buttermilk pancakes, and in turn, make a donation to IHOP’s national charity partner, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.  All of the funds raised locally will benefit the pediatric programs at Shands Jacksonville and Wolfson Children’s Hospital, both of which are Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.
