JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- You may have heard the old cliche: "Idle hands are the devil's playground." If that's true, then Jacksonville artist Kelly Hennessey had nothing to worry about during the last year.
"I remember in the beginning thinking 'Why am I doing this'," she said, laughing.
She has been toiling in her dining room/studio since August 2010, when she got a sudden urge. "I wanted to do something that I wasn't comfortable with," she said, looking for a challenge.
So she decided she would finish one painting every day for a year; each painting done on a small tile. "It takes hours, some of these."
