Catching up with Ciatrick Fason | News
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Before there was Derrick Henry, there was Ciatrick Fason.
The Fletcher High School graduate held the area record for most rushing yards in a high school career until Henry passed him in 2011.
After graduating from Fletcher in 2002, Fason went on to the University of Florida where he had a 1,000 yard season in 2004. Before Mike Gillislee accomplished that feat this season, Fason was the last to do so in a Gators uniform.
After a brief career with the Minnesota Vikings, Ciatrick is back home on the First Coast. He has started a youth sports organization called Star Ready Athletes in which boys and girls learn important lessons on and off the field.
