JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. -- A SWAT standoff in the 1800 block of Horn Street has ended peacefully.
Jacksonville Beach Police Department officers were able to talk a man in his mid-20s out of his home. He surrendered to police around 11 a.m. and is in police custody, according to JBPD Public Information Officer Stefanie Shaugnessy.
No other individuals were injured and no others were involved.

Seabreeze Elementary School in Jacksonville Beach was put on lock down Tuesday morning as a precaution because of police activity in the area, according Jill Johnson, director of communications with the Duval County Public Schools. Shaugnessy said the lock down has since been removed.
Jacksonville Beach Police officers responded to the area of Owen and Horn streets this morning because of a man in his mid-20s whose family was worried about him being suicidal.
The individual was believed to be alone inside his residence at the time, according Shaughnessy. She reiterated that this was not a hostage situation.
