USS Abraham Lincoln making Mayport stop | News

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The USS Abraham Lincoln will be making a pit stop at Naval Station Mayport on Saturday.

The super carrier will bring its 5,000 sailors to the First Coast Saturday, stay the night and then depart Sunday.

The USS Lincoln will then head to its new homeport at Naval Station Norvolk, Va. August 7. The carrier's arrival at Norfolk will follow an eight month deployment to the Navy's 5th, 6th and 7th areas of responsibility.
