JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Four tons of cocaine and 240 lbs of marijuana was netted during Operation Martillo.

It was a 175 day operation, now the USS Nicholas will be docking at the U.S. Navy base Mayport on Tuesday. It is there that sailors will off load the four tons of cocaine and 240 lbs of marijuana. First Coast News is told it will be taken to a private and secure location.
Operation Martillo is Spanish for "hammer" and it targeted the waters around Central America.
According to officials with the U.S. Navy, this operation will keep around 7.2 million doses of cocaine off the streets of the United States.
First Coast News is told the cocaine has a street value of around $250 million dollars.
