3 arrested for armed robbery at Jacksonville Beach | News

JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Beach Police Deparment has arrested two adults and one juvenile for allegedly committing an armed robbery early Monday morning.

As a man was trying to go into his hotel room at the Quality Suites on First Street North on Jacksonville Beach, three teenagers attacked him, according to a news release from Jacksonville Beach Police Department Public Information Officer Sergeant Tom Bingham.

The teenagers, who Bingham says were all armed, pushed the man into his hotel room and demanded money and property before fleeing.

Officers were able to locate the three within an hour of the incident being reported to police.  They were found together at First Avenue South and A1A.

One of the alleged robbers was arrested by police without incident but the other two fled.  Bingham said they were arrested after a foot chase.  All three had firearms on them.  Two of the guns had their serial numbers removed.

Arrested are 19-year-old Jeremy Wright, 18-year-old Travis Couser and a 17-year-old who has not been identified by police due to his age.

Wright has been charged with home invasion robbery with a firearm, possession of a concealed firearm and alteration of a firearm's serial number.  Wright is being held at the Duval County Pretrial Detention Facility.  He is not eligible to receive bond.

Couser was charged with home invasion robbery, possession of a concealed firearm, and resisting law enforcement officers without violence.  Couser is also ineligible to receive bond and is being held at the Duval County Pretrial Facility.

The 17-year-old has been charged with home invasion robbery, possession of a concealed firearm, alteration of a firearm's serial number and resisting law enforcement officers without violence.  Due to his age it is not possible to verify his bond information.
