Arrests made during Stars and Stripes at the Sea Walk

JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Beach Police Department has released information about arrests and notices to appear issued during the city's Stars and Stripes at the Sea Walk Event on Thursday.

According to JBPD Public Information Officer Sgt. Tommy Crumley:

-1 person was arrested for Battery Domestic Violence
-1 person was arrested for Breach of Peace
-25 were issued notices to appear for Drinking in Public
-2 were issued notices to appear for Possession of Alcohol Under 21
-2 were issued notices to appear for Possession of Marijuana, Less than 20 Grams

Prior to the Stars and Stripes at the Sea Walk, Jason Henry Swanson, 34, and Matthew McCain Sugden-Kirsch, 31, are each facing a charge of criminal mischief for allegedly posting "Townies Go Home" stickers on city signs.

Six different agencies assisted JBPD in patrolling the event: Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission, Florida Highway Patrol, University of North Florida Police Department, Nassau County Sheriff's Office, St. Augustine Beach Police Department and the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
