NEPTUNE BEACH, Fla. -- A Neptune Beach Principal was arrested and charged with child abuse Tuesday.

Officers said Ronda McDonald pulled an 11-year-old boy with down syndrome out of a class room.

Family: Down syndrome son abused in school

They say he was being defiant and refused to get up off of the ground, that's when she pulled him into another room.

And as a result he had bruises on his arm and stomach.

McDonald was over the New Leaf School-- for children with learning disabilities.
