Dad-Daughter Date Night Planned for Military Fathers

JACKSONVILLE, FL -- It might just be the break from texting and video games you crave as a father.

Girls Inc. of Jacksonville is inviting active duty military Dads to bring their daugters to a special Dad-Daughter dinner/date night.  The non-profit group is offering a discount on tickets for the October 1st event.

There will be a dinner and dancing for the Dad-Daughter teams.

The event is held in honor of girls and their fathers, or special men in their lives, and will take place at the Renaissance Resort at the World Golf Village, Saturday, October 1st, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

"Girls Inc. of Jacksonville is proud of our military and are happy to have an opportunity to let them know how much we appreciate their service'," said president and CEO of Girls Inc., Beth Hughes Clark.  "We are thrilled to offer a fun night out to our active duty servicemen and a few of the solders in Wounded Warrior Project in recognition of their service."

Regular tickets are $80 for each Dad-Daughter and $30 more for any additional daughters. The festivities will include a dinner, DJ, professional photographs, a silent auction and raffle prizes.

All proceeds from this dance will be put back into the programs that Girls Inc. girls benefit from all year round.  For more information on the Girls Inc. Daddy Daughter Dances, visit or call   904-731-9933.  For more information on the Wounded Warrior Project, visit .
