Families Come Out for Annual Great Atlantic Music and Seafood Festival

JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. -- People headed out to Jacksonville Beach Saturday for the 22nd Annual Great Atlantic Music and Seafood Festival.

The stage was set up at the Seawalk Pavilion.

Families brought their blankets, munched on food and enjoyed the music.

Several bands played, including Rocco Blu, Chroma and Simplified.

The Great Atlantic Music and Seafood Festival is free.

It ends at 10 p.m.

Organizers say after the festival ends, the music will continue at local bars and restaurants.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

April 9 Early Childhood Workshop

On April 9, the Beaches Museum, Beaches Heritage Garden and the ART CENTER, INC. are hosting a free Art and Gardening event for young children from 9 to 11 a.m. There will be five stations with age appropriate art/gardening activities led by local artists and gardeners for the kids to enjoy. Families that attend will receive a free booklet of family art and garden activities to do at home. The event is targeted at preschool children, but older children who are interested are more than welcome.

The EMMA 2010-2011 Concert Season concludes with the presentation of The Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, a perennial favorite of music lovers in the St. Augustine area.  The Orchestra will perform its “Pops” program of “Song and Dance” on Saturday evening at 8:00 pm March 19 at the Flagler College Auditorium at 14 Granada St., St. Augustine.
