Ted Tallman (Lake Worth), Charlie Brown (Ponce Inlet), Michael Kelly (Sanford), and Tracy Frey (Micco) participated in the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) Cadillac Golf Classic National Finals held in Pebble Beach, California, last weekend. The team representing Firehouse Subs garnered a 3rd Place overall finish. Another Central Florida qualifying team consisting of Andy Carroll (Sanford), Carlton Hobgood (Jacksonville), Greg Sutton (Jacksonville Beach) and Michael Warner (Jacksonville) representing Blue Cross and Blue Shield also had a top 10 finish, placing 7th nationally.

The Central Florida-based foursomes won their regional NKF tournament last season held at the Legacy Club at Alaqua Lakes in Longwood, FL and qualified for the National Finals, along with the top three placing teams from 35 other NKF Cadillac Golf Classics across the country. The National Finals were played the hallowed fairways and fabled holes of the Monterey Peninsula: Pebble Beach Golf Links, Del Monte Golf Course and The Links at Spanish Bay.

Funds raised through the Orlando NKF Cadillac Golf Classic help support programs in early detection, direct patient aid and emergency assistance, public education, research and patient advocacy. The National Kidney Foundation of Florida Inc is based in Orlando and serves the patients in all of Florida.
