Beaches Emergency Assistance Ministry Needs Your Help for the Holidays | Community Spirit

BEAM is helping clients prepare for the upcoming holidays by offering sign-ups for Thanksgiving dinner baskets and for toys for children ages 15 and under.  BEAM’s volunteers welcome gifts of Thanksgiving baskets with non-perishable dinner items and a $10 or $15 gift card for a turkey or other main dish. In addition, BEAM needs “elves” to donate gifts and toys for children up through age 15.  Families can “adopt” a child (or a family) and shop for gifts from the lists provided by parents.  BEAM’s Adopt-a- Family form is also found on the BEAM website.
 
BEAM’S annual Holiday Party for Beaches Kids is scheduled for Saturday, December 4th, from 11-1, at Carver Center in Jacksonville Beach.  Church groups, school clubs, and other organizations are invited to participate in this free event for beaches children. 
 
BEAM is a twenty-five year old ministry which serves over a thousand clients each month with food, rent and utility assistance, food stamp and Medicaid applications, and much more.
