North Beachs' Art Walk

Artists (local and northeast Florida) gather around the Beaches Town Center at Atlantic Blvd. and Ocean/First Streets. More than twenty locations feature artists and provide refreshments and music to the public. 

Make Adele Grage your first stop on the monthly North Beaches Art Walk. The artist reception is free and open to the public.  A limo is available from 6 to 9 pm. Current stops are Bali Cargo, Adele Grage, Pteropod, and Artistree. Free limo service to and from Beaches Town Center to Adele Grage Cultural Center, runs from 6:15 to 9 p.m.

USS Underwood Returns from Six Month Deployment

More than 200 Sailors stationed on board USS Underwood (FFG 36) and embarked helicopter squadron HSL 60 will return to Naval Station Mayport on Tuesday, October 5, after a six-month deployment to the Eastern Pacific in support of Counter-Illicit Trafficking Operations.

Flagler College partners with TPC Sawgrass for Annual President's Golf Classic

Flagler College is partnering with TPC at Sawgrass to host the 2010 President's Golf Classic benefiting the Flagler College Scholarship Fund. The event will take place at the Dye's Valley Golf Course at TPC Sawgrass on Oct. 4.

"On behalf of the PGA Tour and TPC Sawgrass, we are very proud to partner with Flagler College in hosting this annual event," said Bill Hughes, general manger of TPC Sawgrass.

A/C Units Stolen From Several Jacksonville Beach Businesses

JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla - Jacksonville Beach Police are investigating several grand thefts on Penman Road in which at least six air conditioner compressor units were stolen from businesses in the area.

A police spokesman says the police in Neptune Beach and Atlantic Beach are also investigating similar thefts. First Coast News is checking into those reports.

Evidence technicians are processing the scenes in Jacksonville Beach, at a strip center in the 1400 block of Penman Road. Police say they have no suspects.

If anyone has any information about these grand thefts, please  call the  JBPD at 270-1667.

SeaWorld Halloween Spooktacular

Halloween meets the sea during SeaWorld's Halloween Spooktacular, featuring an underwater "fantasea" where children can trick-or-treat, meet amazing sea creatures, catch silly and spooky shows and help Sesame Street's Abby Cadabby through an amazing adventure to find her magic wand.

Haunt Nights: Northeast Florida’s Newest Haunted Attraction at the Adventure Landing Jax Beach
